There's nothing neater than power to the people, especially when those people are neat folk like you. Just because you're the newest members of our country's voting population doesn't mean you're any less powerful --- in fact, it's quite the opposite. The youth vote is potentially the most important in today's political climate.
As of now, the young voting population is discouraged. There's a prevailing belief that we don't hold power --- that we have no say in the future of our beautiful America. Of course, this is as true as we make it. If we preemptively assume our vote holds no power and neglect to cast it, then we will really be unable to sway the vast, towering oak that is the American political climate.
As an entire generation is coming to realize, our country isn't great by default. We must work for the ideals we hold so dear. Our life is one of constant vigilance to maintain the free lifestyle we've been born into. If we stop voting as a generation, then we will lose those freedoms to people who don't have our best interests at heart. It is up to us to stop this corruption.
